Seanse sprzed ostatnich trzech tygodni: Jurassic Park - Pierwsza część słynnego cyklu o przywracaniu dinozaurów do życia, które to w przyszłości miały stać się atrakcją dla odwiedzających tytułowy park. Pod względem fabularnym chyba najlepsza część serii, lubię ją także z sentymentu gdyż był to chyba pierwszy film na jakim byłem w kinie Na uwagę zasługują również: wyśmienita muzyka w wykonaniu genialnego Johna Williamsa oraz uczucie niepokoju jakie towarzyszy w trakcie oglądania... 8/10 The Lost World: Jurassic Park - druga i jak dla mnie najlepsza część serii. Genialny klimat, jeszcze lepsza muzyka, jeszcze więcej akcji, jeszcze lepiej wykonane dinozaury, jeszcze więcej przemocy i jeszcze więcej niepokojącego uczucia i wrażenia odosobnienia. 10/10 Jurassic Park III - trzecia i dobrze że ostatnia część cyklu. Zdecydowanie najgorsza, sprawiająca wrażenie jakoby miała ukazać się jedynie na rynku DVD (świadczy chociażby o tym tandetne logo na początku filmu) jako nikomu niepotrzebna kontynuacja. Film w zasadzie zawodzi w każdym aspekcie. Dinozaury zostały wymodelowane o wiele gorzej niż chociażby w części pierwszej, brak ciekawej muzyki (z repertuaru Johna Williamsa wykorzystany został jedynie 'Jurassic Park Theme'), kulejąca fabuła (zapewne dlatego, iż film nie był ekranizacją książki Michael Crichtona tak jak miało to miejsce w dwóch pierwszych filmach) i akcja, która w zasadzie nie wciąga. Brak klimatu odosobnienia, a i rola Sama Neila wydaje się dodana na siłę aby przyciągnąć jedynie więcej widzów do tej i tak słabej pozycji. Na uwagę zasługuje jedynie pojedynek Tyranozaura z Spinozaurem. Jedynie 3/10. |

Promoting their album Hide From The Sun, where appear five bonus tracks recorded from their past concert in the Auditorio Nacional in April, the rock band will be performing for the first time in Monterrey and Guadalajara, something that have them happy. "Mexico has something special, I found very interesting places in it; the first time we came we visited the Teotihuacàn pyramids and was something magic, something sacred, we like the fresh and warm weather in Mexico and we haven't been in Guadalajara and Monterrey, but we are sure that were are going to have a great time" commented the guitarrist Pauli Rantasalmi in interview. The vocalist of The Rasmus, Lauri Ylönen, added that in the Mexican fans they have found the warmest part of all their musical career around the world. "The first memory I have from Mexico was when we arrived to the airport, there were people sleeping on the floor, they had two days before waiting for us, and that really impressed me", remembered Ylönen. The band, also assembled with the bassist Eero Heinonen and drummer Aki Hakala discovered that in the central fountain of the park the people get together to show their toy boats. In there, Ylönen bought an helium balloon in 70 pesos while Eero bought a rehilete with the colors of the Mexican flag. The Rasmus will be playing tonight at the Salon 21, on wednesday in Guadalajara and this thursday in Monterrey. Bo i tekst mi się podoba, i gitary, i ten głos... :twisted: ) Adema - The way you like it (lubię ją, bo to pierwsza piosenka Ademy, którą usłyszałam. Ma w sobie coś chwytliwego, coś co zapada głęboko w pamięć. Kiedy mam gorszy humor, natychmiast mi go poprawia ^^) Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Californication (świetny tekst, przede wszystkim! A po drugie, ten "chodzący" bas... jako basistka zakochałam się w nim bezpowrotnie 8)) Nine Inch Nails - Ruiner (o tak... stara piosenka, ale jakże "jara" :) W ogóle bardzo lubię NIN, więc mogłabym wymienić tu większość ich utworów... Tak na dobrą sprawę, nie wiem co do końca urzeklo mnie w tej piosence. Może po prostu podoba mi się głos Renzora? ;)) System of a down - Chop Suey (moim skromnym zdaniem, jest to jedna z najlepszych piosenek tego zespołu. Tekst można odczytywać na wiele sposobów, ale zdecydowanie najbardziej do gustu przypadła mi teza, że jest to opowieść o życiu i śmierci Chrystusa [oczywiście w wielkim ogólniku]. Poza tym, nie ukrywam, refren wpada łatwo w ucho... ach i te gitary... :D) Korn - Dead bodies everywhere (piosenka podoba mi się od samego początku, aż do końca. Oczywiście, nie tylko za sprawą tekstu [notabene, nie [u]aż tak[/u] udanego], ale głównie za sprawą tych dźwięków... Nie wiem co to ma być, to na początku, ale dla mnie zawsze brzmi to jak cymbałki. Dziecięce :x Ale cóż, nawet muzyk może się mylić. Aczkolwiek mi się to bardzo podoba.) P.O.D. - Change the world (piosenka z serii "Piosenki z przesłaniem". Tym razem jednak bardzo mi się podoba. Raz, że tekst jest całkiem konkretny, nie jakaś mamałyga, a dwa, że sama muzyka przypadła mi do gustu. Tyle.) Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit (no tak, nieśmiertelna Nirvana, która nadal żyje na nagraniach. I całe szczęście, bo gdyby ktoś nie nagrał takiej perełki jak "Smells like teen spirit" to byłaby wielka strata. Bo i tekst, jak i muzyka trzymają się mocno. Trzeba przyznać, że Cobain i spółka mieli talent, oj mieli...) Linkin Park - One step closer (pierwsza piosenka tegoż zespołu, która wpadla mi w ucho. I - moim skromnym zdaniem - najlepsza. Nie schematyczna, za to z charakterystycznym Benningtonowym głosem i tekstem.) To by było na tyle... Tak poza konkurencją, to własciwie mogłabym wymienić całą dyskografię Korna, SOAD-u i prawie całą Linkin Park oraz Ademy... Ale to zajęłoby za dużo miejsca i kto by tam chciał to czytać :x Nawet teraz wątpię, że ktoś rzuci na to okiem... Ps. Japanese Toilets Somehow, it's hard to imagine that toilets can be different in different countries. Surely the way toilets are in my country is the way they must be everywhere? Well, a quick trip overseas will soon disabuse you of that notion. Even toilets in Western countries differ from New Zealand to America to Holland, so how much more so should Asian toilets differ from those in the West? In fact, the toilet you're looking at here is the most widespread toilet in the world. This is the style of toilet which is used from Turkey all the way East to Japan, and everywhere in between. When you think about it, this is the most natural type of flush toilet, too. Instead of sitting down, you squat, which is really how humans are designed to, um, you know... I must admit, I never figured out what to do with my pants when faced with such a toilet, so I used to take them off. But in Japan I learned that the thing to do is just to move them to your knees. And while we're at it, when you squat, you face the plumbing. In some toilets, there are even tiles of different color on either side of the toilet which mark where you should put your feet. This toilet, at least, has toilet paper. In Brunei, I saw one which had just a plastic water hose - sort of like a primitive bidet. Throughout Asia, it's not assumed that you'll find toilet paper or even a water hose in a public toilet. In Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, I had a hard time finding a toilet I could use - in the end I had to go to a store to buy a roll of toilet paper, which I then carried around with me for the rest of my trip. I did later see one in a shopping mall, with a table outside and a lady selling toilet paper by the sheet! In Japan you've got a couple of options. In Kyoto people were handing out plastic-wrapped packets of toilet paper with advertising on it (I hear that the advertising is often pornographic). And in Tokyo, at the very large and prominent Yasukuni-jinja shinto shrine, I came across this toilet paper vending machine. Where else but outside a public toilet! And now from the ridiculous to the sublime. This type of ultra-modern toilet is popular in Japan; on the left hand side you can see four electronic buttons and a dial control. I'd heard about these toilets some time ago, so I knew that at least one of the buttons must control a bidet, and another would be an air drier (no, really!). But the instructions were all in Japanese, and so I didn't know which of the buttons flushed the toilet. Nothing I could do but be systematic - I closed the toilet lid and tried the first button - whoops, bidet! Second button - bidet! Third button - bidet! Fourth button - drier! What?!! Bidets and blowers are all very well, but there must be a flush button somewhere! Two minutes later, I found an old-fashioned lever on the right hand side of the cistern. Perhaps you notice the clever faucet and handbasin on top of the cistern, with a label "saving water" (I don't really expect you to notice the label, it's a bit small). It's very clever, you wash your hands and the water flows into the cistern. Here was another part of Japanese toilet culture I had a small problem with, and I don't just mean that the slippers were too small! The Japanese are very tolerant of people making a cultural faux pas, but one area where they insist on correct behavior is shoes. You definitely don't wear your street shoes inside, and when you go to the bathroom you change from house slippers to toilet slippers. I forgot a couple of times, and even made the mistake of wearing the toilet slippers outside the bathroom. Sacre bleu! No-one said that the Japanese had to be consistent. Wearing toilet slippers in the house might be disgusting, but there's nothing wrong with watching a man using a urinal while you walk through a public park (in this case in the Hiroshima Peace Park). In fact, Japanese men are known for being uninhibited about making comfort stops in public, so perhaps that's why this is seen as nothing unusual. If the last photo didn't freak you out, then perhaps this one might. In Japan (and also, I hear from a work colleague, in Korea) you might come across a public unisex toilet, complete with urinals! Women using the toilets are supposed to just ignore the men! This one was at the Himeji train station. |
